Preliminary task Poster
To the left is the film poster I have created to go along with my preliminary task production. I have kept the design quite basic however i have used convention from the short film in the design, for example the post-it not idea and the fact that the image is printed on a piece of photo paper (to go with the sound effects of a camera taking photos), I have also defined the colours more bringing out the red and the yellow to make the title of the film stand out more on the page. I also only included the date of the films release, a hash tag for the blogging site twitter and a internet address. I feel many production posters contain too much text giving too much information to the potential audience, that's why I have reduced the amount of text on mine. I feel most are so over run by informative text that the art of the production poster itself is overlooked, this leads to people seeing a film mainly because of claims and actors instead of the art of the poster which directly corresponds with the film.
Preliminary task Script - Re drafted
Fade in.
A black screen appears and the voice over begins.
Greyson:
“One year today, a regret was made, one mistake, one single action that changed my world, and now, my time is coming to an end. Every second is an hour, ever week is a year. I must speak out on my last breath”
Greyson walks into the front door and notices a post-it note on the door in front.
He walks slowly through the hall way to the note, stands for a moment and ponders to pick it up. As he picks it up he pushes the door open with his other hand.
He reveals a kitchen with many post-it notes strewn around the room. All with the word “murder” written on.
After seeing the notes he runs back out of the house leaving all but the front door open.
Fade out.

Preliminary task video - completion
I completed my preliminary task however I am not 100% satisfied, after the shooting which went well I realised the dialogue that I would have inserted as a voice over wouldn't fit the scene so instead I created a different introductory monologue, as i couldn't get the performance I wanted out of my actor in the film, I used someone else to give me a more authentic feel, however I don't feel the voice fits the actor present in the film. Overall however I have managed to complete the task on time and I have also been able to create a poster which I am happy with. I will go into detail on the next blog post of how and why I have designed it like i have. I will also add a new post of my final revised script.

Shooting
The shooting went well, completing all shots to a good quality in the short space of time allowed. Most of the shots are good with continuity consistent throughout however i regret slightly the choice of using natural light as some shots look a little dark.
I will continue next week with editing.
